I can flourish on my own.
It feels weird to say this but I don't need my parents. Of course I will always appreciate them for giving me so much. But I've never felt so alive then when I'm on my own.
I can figure out my own messes. I realized I can talk to people all on my own. It's crazy the things you can do when you don't have any other options.
I am a strong fricken woman. And as it turns out I've got a lot to say. When I stopped relying on my parents so much I had to figure the world out all over again. It all looks different when you are not hiding behind someone.
Its my world now and I can do with it whatever I please. I chose to see it. To really explore it. To embrace all of its intricate, hidden beauty. To walk down the city streets and look up.
Don't get me wrong, I owe my parents everything. They have given me so much and I will always appreciate them. But there comes a time when we all grow up. And I think my time to do so is now
