Accept Your Differences

Updated: Jul 3

We live in a world where it's better to act the same or look the same, rather than standing out and being original. How many times have you stopped yourself from doing something you know was unique because you were scared of being judged?

I think it is so important that we encourage people that it is okay to be different. There is no

need to compare yourself to others when you have been created to be exactly yourself. When you look in the mirror you don't see that person you wished you looked like. You see yourself.

I remember at school I hated being the tallest because I hated being a different height to all my friends. I would actually look up ways to stop growing online. It wasn't until I got into High school and I saw all the other tall girls around me and came to the realization that there is absolutely nothing wrong with being tall. I started looking at all the advantages I had and stopped comparing myself to my friends. I had learned to accept that I was different and therefore no longer wanted to change.

But the sad thing is there is not enough people with that same mindset. So many people try so hard to fit in when deep down they know who they are trying to be is not who they need to be. The only person you need to be is yourself. Who cares if you don't look like Madison Beer or Kim Kardashian? Why be a sheep when you can be a Shepard.....Whenever you feel like comparing yourself to another, remember this....All Beautiful things come in different shades, shapes and sizes.
